LinkedIn Observations for This Week
So, a big thing happened this week. Crossed 8K followers...and probably tripped up the algorithm because my posts' reach seems to have changed. The reason I say "seems to have changed" is because I have not been tracking my impressions very closely for a few weeks now. I have been paying more attention the engagement rates and those have remained steady... THANK YOU to all of you who interact with my posts and give me the encouragement to keep creating more!!
Since I presented the VIDEO model yesterday primarily for jobseekers, I could not stop thinking about the rise of "Video" in our daily lives and social media feeds. So, I decided to write up a brief list of the types of videos one can make in order to make an impact on LinkedIn.
These might give you some ideas on what to include in your video content. Remember the ideal length is 60-90 seconds and you should start with a clear statement on what the video is about:
V = Viewpoint. You can present your view or contrast other views on a topic.
I = Information. Share information about something that people might not know about.
D = Description. Discuss an event or an occurrence that could interest your audience.
E = Experience. Share your experiences (e.g. Day in the Life of...) with your audience.
O = Offerings. It is perfectly okay to present what unique thing you or your brand offer.
Hope this gives you the encouragement to create at least one video this coming week!
This Week in Review
The focus of this week's posts was primarily on policy and internal analysis of business, brand, and individuals.
This week has been an interesting one with many political and economic changes occurring at a rapid speed in the USA on the one hand and various discussions coming from the World Economic Form meeting in Davos. In a conscious effort to avoid political discussions, I have avoided the news cycle as much as possible.
It has also been one of the most collaborative weeks that I have experienced in a while:
Met with two strategic partners for a fantastic in-person working session yesterday.
Did a LinkedIn Live Session with Adam DeJans Jr. & John Brandon Elam of Bit Bros LLC (Full Video here)
Did a fun AI-Art collaboration with the AMAZING

Benjamin Bohman and I had a wonderful conversation on AI Insights: The Executive Brief. Full Video Here.
Started out with an inspirational post to Leap into 2025 with confidence on Sunday. On Monday, with the TikTok ban and reinstatement discussions at their peak, I presented a Game Theory approach to why a Joint Venture might be the outcome. Tuesday was an explanatory post on what Beta means in the context of regression analysis (yes, bringing out that statistical analysis tool) and revisited the PERMIT Model for policy analysis on Wednesday. Thursday brought an analysis of using mean and median values from revenue and pricing data to estimate how established a brand might be, with actionable insights on how to leverage and build your brand.
Every Friday, I try to make posts primarily for individuals who are seeking to grow in their careers by either finding a job or switching their jobs. #GetHired2025. This week's post was about using the VIDEO acronym to find work, grow your career, and expand your business.
DISCLAIMER: My daily Post-it series only presents a snapshot of the possibilities that are out there. They are not designed to be comprehensive solutions. For folks who want to implement models or data analysis or improve their own businesses using any of these concepts, I am only a DM away! Links to all posts for this week are given below.

Leap into 2025 With Confidence

The Game is on: TikTok
Let’s start with a brief background on what has occurred in with TikTok recently. TikTok is banned by U.S. Supreme Court due to concerns about data privacy and collection. Perplexity AI, Mr. Kevin Oleary (Mr. Beast), X have all shown interest in acquiring TikTok. TikTok refused to sell to a US-based company, went dark on Jan 19
What the Heck is Beta?
Believe it or not, the question about “what is Beta” comes up in various forms when I work with clients. And many years ago, it was this question that made me realize why communication is hard when technical jargon meets the real world.
Will This Policy Work?
New policies on Data, Employees, Infrastructure are the focus of every organization recently.
Is Your Brand Skewed?
Two simple numbers can help with a quick back-of-the-envelope calculation. The Mean and Median obtained from your revenue and pricing data help determine which of the specific products to focus on as you continue to build or establish Brand in the market.
