GET = Give Everything Time

If you're looking to hashtag#GetHired2025 or to grow your business or career this year, take a deep breath and Give Everything Time! In my usual style of leaning into acronyms, I wanted to use the word HIRED to highlight the factors that we should consider as we grow.

GET Actionable Insights: "Give Everything Time"

1. H - Health.

   1. Both physical and mental health matter.

   2. Workout, meditate, take frequent breaks.

   3. You can't win any race unless you train for it!

2. I - Interactions.

   1. Genuine interactions and relationships take time.

   2. A good network (personal or professional) is valuable.

   3. Supports you when you need it the most.

3. R - References.

   1. Not everyone knows everything about you.

   2. People can only refer you based on what they know.

   3. Ask for referrals only when someone actually knows you.

4. E - Expertise.

   1. Take the time to sharpen your skills.

   2. Learn new skills and focus on honing them.

   3. Revisit content that helps you with your goal.

5. D - Decisions.

   1. Don't jump into taking spontaneous decisions.

   2. Think carefully and weigh all your options well.

   3. Seek input from your network, if you're confused.
